The history of the Rössli dates back to the 16th century when it was the oldest inn in Weggis and guests were greeted with warm Swiss hospitality.

In 1706 the County Council in Lucerne granted the Rössli the tavern license.

In 1898 the Rössli was rebuilt in rural Renaissance style and the standards complied with the standards of the day. It was a time when Weggis emerged as a spa resort.

Josef and Marike Nölly took over the Rössli in 1975 and a new era began. The traditional hotel was refurbished and modernised to meet the high standards of today’s traveller.

The ambitious building plans of Josef and Marike Nölly culminated in the opening of the stunning new La MIRA Beauty & Spa. Today the Rössli enjoys an enviable reputation as one of the most beautiful spa hotels in Central Switzerland and the tradition of Swiss hospitality reflects its heritage.
